Vybz Kartel Escapes from Prison, 1 Guard Dead

Vybz Kartel has reportedly escaped from prison in Jamaica after holding an officer at gunpoint.
Reports have surfaced that the Dancehall artist started a riot at the Horizon Adult Remand Centre and has fled in Jamaica's biggest prison escape in history. TheHypeLifeMag reports that Vybz - real name Adidja Palmer - managed to take control of the prison after holding an officer at gunpoint.
As a result, a prison officer died of a heart attack and 12 others were injured - two were shot with guns that had been smuggled into the prison. Shortly after 1am, Vybz and other jailmates stole clothes and car keys from prison guards and created stories to help get past other officers.
At approximately 1:45am, the convicts made their way to a pickup truck outside the prison which helped them to escape.
The Force Commissioner of the Criminal Investigations Branch has confirmed that Vybz is on the run and he and the other escapees are now on Jamaica's most wanted list.
Vybz has been charged with murdering two men earlier this year.
